R-1 Laboratory for Diagnostics
Activities of R-1 Laboratory: · Monitoring and study of epizootiological condition of infectious, parasitic and other animal diseases, elaboration of methods and proposal of measures for their containment; · Field and laboratory diagnostics of bacterial, fungal and parasitic diseases in domestic animals and wild game; · Serological diagnostics of infectious diseases: test on rabies by direct immunofluorescence method, test on enzootic bovine leucosis (EBL) by enzyme immunoassay for detection of antibodies for EBL virus in serum and milk, test on Brucella melitensis by classic agglutination method (Rose-Bengal), test on Brucella ovis by enzyme immunoassay method for determination of quantity of antibodies for Brucella ovis in blood serum; · Diagnostics of bovine tuberculosis by intradermal tuberculinization method; · Microbiological tests of udder secretion samples of domestic animals for isolation of mastitis agent; · Testing of bacteria susceptibility on anti-microbial agents; · Diagnostics of infectious and parasitic bee diseases; · Control of immunity status in animals; · Providing professional aid to veterinary and other organisations from the scope of its operations; · Pathological anatomical diagnostics aimed to determine the causes of animal death; R-1 Laboratory is accredited according to standard HRN EN ISO 17025, with one method: Horizontal method for isolation of Salmonella spp. from faeces.
